Obviously the weekend didn't turn out the way I wanted. We began quite positively in practice - I gained in confidence and it gave me some references for qualifying. I then made a mistake on my quick lap, so I should probably have been starting a little bit higher.

DAMS kicked off the 2016 GP2 Series superbly with victory for Alex Lynn and a maiden podium finish for team newcomer Nicholas Latifi at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain (May 13-15) to leave the team sitting at the top of the championship table.

The eleven GP2 teams were greeted at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with blue skies and warm weather for the opening round of the 2016 GP2 Series with air and track temperatures of 19° and 36° respectively for the morning 45 minute Free Practice session. Pirelli are supplying their P Zero Orange hard and P Zero Yellow soft tyres for this weekend.
