Senior Rotax has the highest representation of drivers, with 67 of them set to take part at a circuit that is fast-flowing and incredibly technical, which evolves quickly the more MOJO rubber is laid down on it. The lineage of the BNL Karting Series cannot be denied, with such great talents as two-time F1 champion Max Verstappen, Rinus Van Kalmthout, DTM star Thomas Preining, Oliver Askew, Beitske Visser and Glenn Van Berlo to have taken this path to push them to where they are now. Some of the more current familiar faces return to a welcoming and friendly paddock, combined with a well-run crew behind the scenes, ensures a good foundation that the BNL has built on year after year. “We’re really excited to get the 2023 season underway with the Kick-Off here at Karting Genk,” explained BNL series organiser Esmée Rosman, who is excited as everyone else is for the racing to return to full-throttle. “There’s been a lot of hard work to get everything in place ready for this year, but when those engines roar into life, there’s nothing quite like it. Plus I always enjoy seeing all the smiling faces of the drivers, families and people in the paddock – it makes all the effort so worthwhile.” The racing action gets underway this Saturday with timed qualifying and the heats, before Sunday will see the eventual winners being crowned.
All the action will be live streamed via the BNL Karting Series YouTube channel, which you can find at https://www.youtube.com/@BNLKartingSeries, with live timing and results available via the Rotax Global App.
