CRG’s new GLM bearing system allows the wheelbase of the kart to be adjusted by moving the rear axle 5mm forward or 5mm back from standard. There are also three settings for ride-height.
The new system is included on some of the new line of chassis from the Italian manufacturer – see Wednesday’s article HERE.
The shorter wheelbase is particularly useful on short and tight tracks as it makes the kart more nimble and more free off the turn.
The longer wheelbase is better suited to tracks with longer fast corners as it adds stability to the kart.
