“The RMCIT South America organization is very pleased with the amount of interest we have had already in this year’s event. We expect to see absolute record entries in all categories and look forward to meeting some new drivers as well joining us from outside of South America,” commented Claudia Toledo, RMCIT South America Director. “We are so happy to become part of this important Rotax initiative [for the future of karting] and we saw this tremendous opportunity to promote the Rotax E20 electric kart right here within our own region”.
Entries are open for the Rotax Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, MAX Masters, DD2 and DD2 Masters. For the younger children who are starting their sporting career in karting, there is also the promotional Baby category for kids from 4 years of age. The ‘La Chutana’ circuit located just south of the coastal capital city of Lima (originally the City of Kings), Peru is set below the mountains within the Autodromo complex. It has recently had some significant upgrades to the track layout to further improve the overall racing experience. With an altitude of 220m above sea level, the local temperature is expected to be around 15°C on average at the time of the South American event.
