The Birel ART chassis with TM Racing engines have finally won the laurels they have deserved since the at the WSK Open Cup on the Lonato track. Winning an indisputable victory in KZ2 with Riccardo Longhi and completing this success by Marijn Kremers' 3rd place is an invaluable reward for Birel ART on the circuit where the last round of the European Championship will be disputed in a few weeks. The progress of the Lissone team was also confirmed with the success of Luigi Coluccio OK.
The BirelART North American team attacked rounds 3 & 4 of SKUSA SpringNationals with confidence this weekend, hosted at the famous PKRA circuit located in Phoenix, Arizona. Blistering hot temperatures forced drivers and teams alike to maintain composure and isolate engine temperatures to normal operating ranges. Despite PSL/BirelART having a strong track history of winning at the PKRA circuit, the team was faced with challenges in this very competitive series and overcame them with great success.
Despite winter conditions which were still harsh for the machines and men, the 23rd edition of the Winter Cup validated the positive dynamic that prevails this season within Birel ART Racing. Although failing to obtain all of the successes that were possible, the team has achieved many remarkable performances in several categories, starting with the top five for Pizzi in Junior.
Birel ART has big plans for 2018, recruiting Davide Foré to be Team Manager and announcing the international team drivers for the Birel ART and Kubica brands.
Technically and organisationally, everything is in place for the great Italian manufacturer to return to a long tradition of victories on all terrains.
This past weekend marked round two of three of the top national program, SKUSA Pro Tour (Spring Nationals), where results were earned across multiple classes.
The team would come away as DD2 (Jeff Kingsley) and Senior Max (Ryan Norber) Champions, with honourable mention to Mini-Max Vice Champion, Justin Arseneau.
