Weather conditions have affected the performance of CRG drivers at the 23rd edition of the Winter Cup of Lonato, but two well-deserved podiums rewarded Pedro Hiltbrand (OK) and Fabian Federer (KZ2).
British driver Ben Hanley, driving the new Drago Corse chassis, took his fourth victory at the Winter Cup on the weekend. Hanley beat home Anthony Abbasse (Sodikart-TM) and Fabian Federer (CRG-TM) in a mammoth 94-kart KZ2 field. Of the three Australians competing, James Wharton and Joshua Fife both made their Finals.
The Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf welcomed 160 participants to the half-time races of the four grade series of the German Kart Championship last weekend (July 8th – 9th). The fields were very balanced – there were seven different winners in eight races. The fights for the title are therefore still very exciting.
Flavio Camponeschi took a good second place in KZ at the end of a great comeback race, Paolo De Conto also put in a good performance. Fabian Federer second and on the podium in KZ2.
Riccardo Longhi (CRG-Tm) won the duel with his team mate Fabian Federer (CRG-Maxter) in the heats. Tommaso Mosca (Maranello-Tm) will start Sunday’s Prefinal from P3.
