The third round of the German Championship DKM held in Wackersdorf has highlighted the speed of CRG drivers that now are leading KZ2, OK and OK-Junior classifications.
After the round in Oviedo (E) of the CIK-FIA European Champ, De Conto (I - CRG-TM) secures the KZ title. Vidales (E – Tony Kart-Vortex) and Thompson (GB – FA Kart-Vortex) lead in OK and OKJ.
Stan Pex took a double win in the second round of DKM in Kerpen (Germany) and became the new KZ2 classification leader, Dennis Hauger won OK and Kas Haverkort OK-Junior.
All in all, 153 drivers from more than 20 nations started and showed thrilling races in high temperatures. In the evening the winners were David Detmers (DSKC), Stan Pex (DSKM), Mattia Michelotto, Kas Haverkort (beide DJKM) as well as David Schumacher and Dennis Hauger (both DKM).
The young CRG team of OK-Junior is growing up very well in this early season, as several drivers already got on track at the Winter Cup, Andrea Margutti Trophy and in WSK races.
The Italian outfit put in great results in qualifying and heats mainly with Jorrit Pex in KZ2 (who took the victory in the first heat) and Dennis Hauger who properly celebrated his birthday in OK (setting the pole position and winning the first heat).
World Champion Paolo De Conto will be at the start of KZ2 on CRG-Tm. He comes from the victory taken in Guadalajara (Mexico) and is well motivated to shine again during this season.
The Circuit Adria Karting Raceway will stage the first round of the WSK Champions Cup next 26-29 January 2017. CRG is all set to get on track with a strong squad in all the categories.
CRG works team will be busy on track this coming weekend in Spain for the European Championship KZ, OK and OK Junior and in Italy for the Rotax Max Euro Challenge in the three categories DD2, Senior and Junior.
